Q: How do I play my iPod in my 2006 honda Accord?
I have a 2006 Honda Accord Ex. It has XM and a six disk changer, and no navi system. Besides the $200 dealer installed glove-box hook up, any thoughts on how to play my iPod through the stereo?

It's not wireless.
It feeds your audio signal from a headphone jack ( or RCA cables) by FM modulation, directly into the antenna input on your radio bypassing the antenna when on, allowing the radio to work as normal when off. It comes with an On/Off switch that can used or it can be replaced with a relay powered by the remote wire from the radio (is so equiped).

Q: How do I connect an Ipod to a 2006 Honda Accord through Auxillary Input?
The stereo on the 2006 Honda Accord has an auxillary button, and with most other cars you just buy an auillary cable from spare parts and have them install it so you can plug in an ipod, however Honda Spare Parts have been absolutely no help and do not seem to know what I am talking about. I know it is possible because why else would there be an auxillary button if there was no auxillary input somewhere in the stero.
I am very frustrated and would really really appreciate if anyone has any suggestions.

A: Look on ebay, look in Circuit City, Best Buy, MicroCenter etc. There are hundreds of versions to link an iPod to a car. Since you have an AUX button and plug, just find the cable that works for yours from those places.

A: they are charging you 500 to activate it? hmm somethin doesnt seem right here. maybe to install it and stuff yea, but just to activate it, i doubt it. never heard of them activating an alarm system that is already installed if that is what you mean. i might check into that a little more if i were you.
you can get an alarm and install for 250 and up depending onn what you want. cheaper than that at the right place

I have a 2001 Honda Accord now and i want to change cars. i am attracted to the 2004 Audi 1.8Quattro(45000 miles, $16000) and the 2006 Honda Accord. I think the Audi gives me more features for less than the newer accord. How does the Audi rate in terms of reliability compared to the Honda Accord. I know Honda will be better but is the Audi close or just worse?

A: If you are a passionate driver, The audi is a pure drivers car with the ability to customize just about any part. The audi comes standard with 3 braking systems, traction control a 5 valve head and 6 airbags. if the car is an automatic that 5 speed tiptronic is about the best in the industry. You see A4's every once in a while, Accords are generic in styling and are a dime a dozen.
Close the door on the audi then close the door on a honda that should answer your question.
Q: How do you use the cruise control, 2006 Honda Accord?
I have a golden 2006 accord, all suited up with navigation and what not, its tha exl or w.e. the best model is for it, i just cannot seeem to know how to use the cruise control,. i tried just letting go of the gas and pushing the cruise control, but it starts slowing down and it sucks because cruise control eases the pressure on my foot when i frequently go on long drives.
A: Using it is a two part process - one of the buttons on the wheel simply turns it on and off. When it's on, you'll see a visual indicator on the dash. When it's on, then you have the button that has set, resume, etc. That is a rocker type switch, one way is to set, the other to resume, you need to push it in the "set" direction. You'll get another light that it is set - and then it should be working. If you hit the brakes it will cancel, but if you push the resume button, it should go back to where it was before.

I have a 2006 Honda Accord and when I changed my air filter today I noticed a hole on the bottom of the housing about and inch wide. Is this normal? Is it supposed to be there? Or did something get ripped off the bottom? Also filter is full of soot and cigarette butts and insects in there. Do I need to be concerned?

i would like to have some information about how to install an amplified subwoofer, which is Boss bass800 in honda accord 2006. Because i use the factory audio and it doesn't have rca output. Can i connect the rca wire direct into my rear speaker.? The second problem is how can i connect the remote turn-on lead?
A: Use line converter to convert regular speaker outputs to RCA which can be taken from rear speakers and use Acc wire which the colour I beleive is either yellow or red you can check this with test light which you can but for less then $ 8.And it will work.And no you cannot connect RCA directly to the speaker wires.Also check what kind of input does Boss Base takes some of them have both RCA and regular speaker input.

A: Clean off your windshield with vinegar. It gets rid of all of the wax residue from your windshield. That is what caused it. DEFINITELY. Wax has a residue in it. The humidity and the wax caused a reaction. Probably from when you bought your car the wax left residue and that caused your problem. =]

Q: How do you compress the rear caliper on a 2006 honda accord?
I have tried ever thing and I cant get the rear calipers to compress. I can barely get one pad in there let alone two pads and the rotor. I have tried c-clamps and everything.

The handle's not working and isn't broken, and the glove box is unlocked.
A: If you look under the glove box and dash board there will be 2 phillip head screws on both sides of the box. just unscrew them and the box should drop out.
You will probably have to move the seat all the way back to get enough room and a flashlight to see what your doing.

A: a 06 accord should have the maint minder system with the oil life indicator...u need to use your odo button with the car running and roll it around till u can see the oil life then mash that button still with the car running and hold it till it starts flashing then let off for a second then mash and hold it again...until it says 100%...when in doubt look in the owners manual there alwasy in there
