Q: On a 2001 Honda CRV my left window does not work. Is there a special fuse that I can replace?
Should I take it to the dealer or someone else? How much do you think it will cost?
A: Probably not. There is most likely an " amplifier " connected to the window drive motor that has failed. Someone handy could probably get the door panel off and plug in a replacement. Might be worth a trip to the junkyard.
Q: 2001 honda crv the button to activate the alarm system has warned out where do i find relpacement?
A: Go to the honda dealership.
Q: I have to get front tires for my 2001 honda crv...Im curious what brand would you purchase?

Joey babe,I love how smart you are :)
A: Steal them off JOEY's 2001 CRV. No wait, his are probably 20 inches tall, have you cut your fenders out so that a 20 will fit under there? Never mind....

Q: What is an estimate for new calipers, brakepads and rotors on the front of my 2001 honda crv ex?
A: Go to: autopartswarehouse.com and enter your brand of car and year. A new screen pops up where you click on crv ex.
There are 12 separate brands of brake rotors from $18.00 each to nearly $100.00. I'll save you come time here. The EBC slotted and dimpled rotors for $149.00 a pair can't be beat.
Look for brake pads. They have 11 different brands. The EBC Yellow stuff or performance friction pads are very equal. The yellow stuff EBC's will not damage your new rotors.
Q: Honda CRV 2001 Steering Wheel Making Squeaky Sound?
Hi, I have a 2001 Honda CRV…for some reason the steering wheel is making this really weird squeaky sound, is that a bad sign? I just got an oil change about two weeks ago and I don’t suspect it has anything to do with the fluid, unless the guy who did the oil change screwed something up. There's this red Maintenance sign on my dashboard, I'm suspecting that's why the steering wheel is making that sound...I haven't heard that until the Red button showed up.
A: I had the same little problem 2 months ago and all I did was spray some wd-40 between dash onto the shaft. The shaft is dry with no lubrication, lub it up baabby!!!!! Gabe
Q: Why do my car doors lock themselves while my car is parked, its a 2001 Honda crv.?
I can put my car in the garage and come back to find the automatic locks have engaged, its very annoying.
A: That is not a Honda alarm system on your car. The Honda system will only lock the doors if you use the remote to open the doors and you don't open a door to enter the car within 30 seconds or so. The reason that the Honda system will relock the car is to override the possibility that the unlock button was pressed by accident when you put the remote in your pocket.
if the doors are locking automatically after a few minutes its not a Honda alarm. There are non-Honda alarm systems that are installed by dealers that have that feature, such as the Karr alarm and others. All of them can be set so that the automatic lock feature is disabled. I can't think of how many people I know of who had their keys locked in the car because of the auto-lock alarm. My suggestion is to take the car to the dealer you bought it from and have the auto-lock disabled. If the car was purchased from an individual, look on the keyless remote to get the name of the company and Google it to get the service center nearest you that can disable the alarm.
hope that helps
Q: How do I locate and replace a 2001 Honda CRV cabin air filter?
A: the filter is in the evaporator case behind the glove box. you need to take out the glove box and the glove box frame to get to the cabin filter.
the glove box door has two tabs on the top of the side panels. release those tabs by pulling up and the glove box should fall forward (take everything you don't want on the floor out first!)
then take out the screws that hold the glove box hinge to the dash panel
then take out the brace.
you'll see a vertical panel about 10" high by 2" wide. there are clips that hold the cover on. take the cover off and the cabin air filter will be behind there. the filter just pulls out
hope that helps
Q: Is $12,000 too much to ask for a 2001 Honda CRV Ex with less than 35k miles on it?
Im trying to sell my car and I wonder if Im overpricing myself out of the market? Is $12,000 too much to ask for a 2001 Honda CRV Ex with less than 35k miles on it? The Car condition is good and the Kelly blue book value is similar.
A: I know they redesigned those in 2002 and 2007.So you have the first generation,I would go with the kbb.com listed price and knock $1,500 off it.Sell it on autotrader it's almost guaranteed to sell.Good luck, I hope your going with another honda!
Q: Why does my 2001 honda crv make a buzz when I lock the door?
A: probably a door lock actuator, find out which door the noise is coming from and replace the actuator
Q: Removing 2001 Honda CRV Radio?
I was wondering if anyone knows a site that has detailed instructions on how to remove a 2001 honda crv radio.
A: I have a service manual for that vehicle. I can scan the pages and email them to you if you can send me a regular email address. I can't attach any files to a yahoo answer. there are about 5 pages of things you have to take out to get the audio system out.
you can send me your email address by clicking on the icon above my name in the reply. then you'll see the option to email me in the upper right corner. Use that to send me your email address and that way it won't show up on Yahoo Answers for the world to see.
hope that helps
Q: How do you find the firing order which spark plug wire goes to which spark plug for a 2001 Honda CRV ?
A: The distributor cap should have a mark (c), this is for the #1. The next one going clockwise is #3, then #4 and then #2 (this should end up next to the #1, the counter-clockwise side. On the engine the #1 is front of engine, (drive belts end) followed by 2, 3, and 4. Connect the wires, matching these numbers. The firing order is 1 3 4 2. Check out this site, it's very good.

Q: 2001 Honda CRV battery Died, Horn Goes off when cables are connected. And i dont have a alarm!?
I left my lights on my car for like 15 hrs. when i went to jump the car. i connected the red to the running car my horn went off, and it stays loud for the whole time there touching. I want to take out the fuse to turn off the horn and let the battery juice up a little. But i dont have the fuse box diagram.
The battery is a year and a half old.
Any advice?
A: I worked at autozone for awhile and had this happen a few times, typically if you have a key fob you can shut it off, but seeing as you don't, try closing the door and unlocking the door with the key while the horn is going off, this is typically a chevy thing but it might work, otherwise if you cant find a fuse for the horn, try, if you can to find the horn(s) and unplug them temporarily until you can figure out how to disable the theft deterrent system.
