Q: Please help me with trading a NEW CAR
I own a honda element 2007. I have 13,000 left to pay it off.
I would like to buy a 2008 GTI, which is around 25,000.
My trade in value the most would be 17,000 or 15,000 minimum.
I understand if thats the case, the dealer where i am getting the GTI will pay off my current payments of the ELEMENT and put it into my new car.
Will if affect my monthly payments?? Im really confused, and i need your help guys.
A: Yes that's what will happen, if you use the rest as down payment then it will lower your monthly payment as opposed to going no money down
Q: Auto headlights for Honda CRV?
My girl friend bought a 2007 CRV about 6 months ago and it seems it doesn't have auto headlights (they turn off automatically when you turn the car off). She left her lights on the other night and we had to call AAA. Is this possible? Every car I have had since 2000: Honda Element, Toyota Solara, Toyota FJ Cruiser has had auto lights.
A: No auto off headlights on the Element. Seriously doubt the CRV has them. My grandmother's Oldsmobile had them though.
Q: Are there any Auto Agents or Underwriters that can estimate how much my insurance will go up?
By trading in a 2006 Honda Element EX-P 2wd for a 2007 Mazda 6 Mazdaspeed (270 HP, AWD)?
Thanks for any accurate feedback.
Even a percentage would work. I pay $215 every six months for the Element.
$500 deduct, 100/300/50
jmrob,
Thanks. I knew it would go up. I was fearing 100% increase :-)
A: 20% increase (the model names you gave me aren't actually listed in my directory so I used Honda Element EX 2WD, and Mazdaspeed 3 and Mazda 6).
Your going from a family type car to a more sporty version with more options.
Q: Which car should I choose...?
I'm a 21 yr. old male and I've narrowed my choices for a car to buy down to 5. They are as follows:
2005 Mercury Mariner, $10,995, 50k miles
leather interior, well taken care of
2005 Mazda Tribute, $12,999, 35k miles
excellent condition
2007 Ford Fusion SEL, $13,375, 35k miles
excellent condition
2004 Honda Element, $12,999 55k, miles
OK condition
2007 Dodge Caliber, $11,995, 50K miles
They're all the highest trim/model available, also...
Which one should I choose? I want the one with the best value for my dollar, but things like gas mileage and value depreciation are also important. Which will be worth the most in 3-4 years? Etc, etc,
A: Get the Ford Fusion. They have excellent quality and are very cheap to own. You will also still have a bumper to bumper warranty from the factory on the Fusion for another 1k miles. You will have a powertrain (engine/transmission) warranty for up to 60k miles. The Honda is out of warranty (bumper to bumper) as is the Dodge. The Fusion is also more reliable and gets better gas mileage than the Tribute or the Mariner.
Based on the year and mileage of these vehicles the Fusion is the best choice. It will also retain its value pretty will as they are great cars.
