Q: What Is A Good Price For A 2008 Honda Element EX Lease, With No Money Down?
What Is A Good Price For A 2008 Honda Element EX Lease, With No Money Down?

A: there IS no good lease price...leasing is NOT the way to have a vehicle...BUYING IS.. we can't answer you anyway...we don't know where you live and what the dealer is like there, so call and find out.

Q: What is the difference between the 2008 Honda Element and the 2008 Honda Element SC?

A: The SC model is the "sportier" version of the Element. Larger wheels, lower, stiffer suspension, unique exterior colors, different grille and interior details. I think they squeeze a little more power out of the same basic engine and it only comes in 2WD. The non-SC Element comes in a couple of trim levels and either 2WD or AWD. The Element was designed for the younger generation, but a lot of geezers realized what a great ride (and value) it was and ended up buying it. The SC is Honda's attempt to recapture the "youth" market and compete with the Scion Xb, popular among the tuners.

Q: Does the 2008 Honda Element EX have a passenger sear armrest?
I am looking to buy a new car and I want to know if the 2008 Honda Element EX has a passenger sear armrest? Someone who owns an older model, said they do not come with one. Then I looked on the Honda site and I can't see one in the pictures, but they do sell a front seat middle arm rest. I don't know. If so, then do I have to buy the middle arm console? In that picture it looked like the armrest was on the passenger side. Which was on the left side of the picture. http://automobiles.honda.com/element/accessory-detail.aspx?Accessory=ELEME08091 Thanks for the first answer, I guess I am looking for some more detail. Now with that accessory armrest, can you acces the cupholders that are on the floor?

A: no, there is no passenger seat armrest for the 2008 Element EX there is a driver's side armrest with storage compartment that wil double as a passenger side armrest but its not adjustable. you can see that on the http://automobiles.honda.com/element/accessory-detail.aspx?Accessory=ELEME08091" the center console is only on the SC from what I can tell hope that helps

Q: Unsure of when my 2008 Honda Element needs it's second oil change?
My car had it's first oil change on May 16th of this year at Jiffy Lube and the sticker then put up says the mileage and august 14th. The mileage has already gone past and the date is coming up. But my car has a system on it that tells me what percentage the oil is at and currently its at 60%, it usually needs to be changed when it gets to 15%. I'm not sure if i should go with what the car tells me or what the sticker says? Thanks

A: the non-maintenance minder elements that were mechanically the same as yours but without the maintenance minder called for oil and filter changes every 6 months or 5000 miles if you use the car in stop and go traffic or in dusty environments and 10,000 miles if you use the car primarily on freeways. the jiffy lube is probably recommending every 3 months and 3000 miles. they make their money selling oil changes and ancillary services. the 6 months and 5000 mile recommendation on the honda elements prior to yours is a valid recommendation and I would follow that as a rule of thumb or go by the maintenance minder if you like--it looks to me as though the 60% remaining is tracking at the 5000 mile range. that system uses inputs from the average vehicle speed and engine load conditions to calculate when you're due for service. Be sure to check your oil occasionally as the maintenance minder will still not tell you the level or condition of the oil; it only tells you when you are due for a maintenance service based on how you drive your Element. as for me, I do oil and filter changes on my hondas every 5000 miles which is the recommendation for my non-maintenance minder cars hope that helps

Q: I have Honda element. The seat belt comes out of the seat at the upper shoulder. where can i get seat covers ?
2008 Honda element xp.

A: No one makes a seat cover for your Element that will not affect the operation of your car's airbags. You have side airbags in your front seats.that are located on the outboard side of each seatback. In a collision event the side fabric of the seat shears as the airbag deploys to form a cushion between the person in the seat ant the door. If you put a seat cover over the seatback then in a collision the side airbag would be contained under the seatcover and not afford you any protection. I would strongly suggest you not try to find a cover for the seats. The interior of the Element is pretty rugged and holds up well to dirt and grime. Stay with the factory seat cover and stay safe. hope that answers your question

Q: 2008 Honda Element or Civic??????
I can't decide between the two. I'm 19 years old and i recently drive a 98' Chevy Malibu but i'm looking for a Honda. Not really concentrating on price because they're close to the same once special features and everything is added but i just wanted a second party's opinion. Thanks in advance!!!

A: civic. especially since your young! :) it gets good gas mileage, and it stills has a decent amount of room. plus its sporty and good for a younger person!

Q: Which would you choose either of the 2008 Honda Elements or a 2008 Scion Xb?

A: Both are good cars. Scion is made by Toyota. I personally like the look for the new XB. I would test drive both and pick the one you like best. If I was buying it would be the Xb.

Q: Honda Element Hitch and Wiring?
I'm looking into installing a hitch and wiring on my 2008 Honda Element AWD but i'm not sure which one to buy or which wiring to buy. It looks like UHAUL has decent prices but for them to install it is a rip off (about $200 labor) so i will do it myself. This appears to be the correct hitch but doesn't state if it comes with wires http://store.uhaul.com/hitch_detail.aspx?id=3692 and i'm not sure which wires to buy if it doesn't come with it. These are the different kinds http://store.uhaul.com/product.aspx?id=158&sid=160 I'm towing a single jet ski with the regular size hitch ball and i believe a 4 pin flat. thanks

A: Buy the honda trailer wiring harness and avoid the hassels. it just plugs in to the existing harness with no alterations, cutting or splicing required. it comes with instructions and is avaialble through your local honda dealer. Harness Kit (sold separately) Part number 08L91-SCV-100A if you don't want to buy the harness, ask them for the installation instructions or wiring diagram. they can print them off separately for you hope that helps

Q: Tire Pressure Warning Light on Honda Element?
I have a 2008 Honda Element. Today is the second time in about a month that the tire pressure warning light has come on. The first time was a few days after somebody hit me going 20mph on the freeway. I took it to Honda and they filled the tire back up (not sure which tire it was) The second time was today when i was driving to work. But it turned off about 30 minutes later. I'm not sure what exactly to do, cause the light is now off, should I take it down to the dealership again? Is there a reason why it keeps happening? I just took the tire pressure also and all 4 tires are at 30

A: It's been a while since I sold my Element, but 30 psi sounds a little low. Check your owner's manual to see what the correct cold tire pressure should be. It could be that you just have a tire (or all four tires) that is marginally low. That would activate the sensor, and after you drive for a while pressure would increase and the light would go out. TPMS are a pain in the butt. They are a bureaucratic solution to people who don't periodically check their tires.

Q: honda element?
are thay still going to have the honda element for 2008 ?

A: Given the demand for the last two model years, Honda would be very stupid if they did drop one of their most popular models ever. My sister drives an '05 and loves it! One of my work buddies got the new street model and drives it like a Civic Si coupe. They're hard to beat in their class. I'm seriously considering either an Element or a CR-V to replace my last GM gas guzzler.

Q: When will Honda come out with new Element body style?
I'm looking at buying an Element for its functionality, and noticed that this model was released in 2003. Honda usually overhauls its models every 4 years and being 2008 already, its been 5 years. Anyone know if a new body style is coming out, and if so when? Thanks!

A: Rumor that the Crossroad will be the new Element is just a rumor. If anything, it may be an addition to the Honda line of vehicles sold in the US. It's more likely that it will just be a crossover SUV for the Japanese market. The current Element is built in Ohio. The Crossroad is built in Japan. According to AutoWeek, Honda won't import the Crossroad to North America, because it's similar to other Honda vehicles in many respects. Honda's crossover SUV lineup in the United States and Canada already has the smaller Element, the mid-priced CR-V and the larger Pilot and all three models are made in North America. A new Element probably won't appear until 2010.

Q: Scion Xb versus Honda Element?
Im looking to purchase a new car for the upcoming year...Im not interested in having the latest model (2008/2005) or anywhere in between? doesnt matter -of the 2 but I am interested in picking out of the scion or the element, Im 23, single no kids, college student...what ya think which do you think is best?!?!

A: I used to own an Element and now own a 2nd generation xB. I was originally drawn to the Element because of its AWD capability, funky styling (the last thing I want is another "me-too" ride), big on the inside/small on the outside layout, long list of standard features, fun to drive factor, bang for the buck and Honda's reputation for trouble free vehicles. The Element filled those requirements just fine for about three years and just enough mileage to put it out of warranty. Then things started going wrong. Not a lot of things, but not what I expected from a Honda. Besides, by then I had grown tired of the clamshell doors, the composite body panels were more of a hassle to take care of than conventional painted parts, I had concerns about the durability of the supposedly rugged interior, plus it was ready for new tires. The final straw was $1200 for a new heater core. That killed my confidence in Honda. I replaced the Element with a 2008 Scion xB last summer. Although it has a lot of dedicated fans, I didn't care for the original xB design...but the new model is a different breed. It has the four-cylinder Camry engine and all of the features that drew me to the Element except for AWD (which I never really used anyhow), and was $1000 cheaper out the door than the E was 4-1/2 years earlier. On top of that, the xB seats five (the Element only seats four), it's quieter with a smoother ride, and gets better gas mileage. Parked next to a friend's Element, the xB shines. It's sleek and contemporary and the Element just looks so...old. The E is still essentially the same design that was introduced in 2003 and really shows its age. Oh, one other thing. I really appreciate being able to wash the roof of the xB without having to drag out something to stand on. The Element is too tall for that...unless, perhaps, you play pro basketball. Granted, the xB isn't perfect. The interior is rather bland, there's no lock on the glovebox and the console/armrest is pretty useless. All petty stuff. It's comfortable, is a blast to drive, comes very well equipped, has airbags everywhere, and is a terrific value. No AWD, but it has traction control, stability control, and ABS...very sophisticated for the price you pay. The only remaining question is whether Toyota's reputation for building great cars is better than Honda's reputation for building great cars. Bottom Line: The xB wins. As much as I enjoyed the Element I don't regret switching to the xB.

Q: Where would my car fit on Top Gear's Cool Wall?
Seriously Uncool, Uncool, Cool, or SubZero? http://www.cardata.com/images/2008_new_cars/Honda/2008_Honda_Element_SC_front.jpg

A: Very cool...although some people can't handle something as unique as the Element.

Q: what car do you think is the best out of the three
1.http://automobiles.honda.com/element-sc/ 2008 Element 2WD SC Automatic Transmission Nighthawk Black Pearl / Black/copper Fabric 2.http://www.miniusa.com/?#/learn/gallery/exterior-s black and white checkered side mirrors two white stripes convertible 3.http://www.fordvehicles.com/cars/mustang/ dark red, or night blue, black

A: Mini would be my first choice because its a fun car to drive and fuel efficient. Element would be the more practical choice because it is larger and has more cargo space. I'm not sure I would go with a Mustang. I do like the car, but gas prices a not exactly the cheapest and it's not really a practical car to have around if it's going to be your daily driver.

Q: Anyone own/ride in the new Scion XB for 2008? I drive a 2005 and find the ride very bumpy. I actually had to..
buy new bras because of all the bouncing. How about the 2008? I like the styling much better. This is my work car. My boss likes to buy cars that grade school kids think are cool and paint them up real crazy. It fits with my job and I don't want to get into why on here. I am researching a new car for work purposes. It needs to be a hatchback and have plenty of room, under 25k and get good gas milage. Previous cars used for work have been a pt cruiser and a honda element. My boss just bought a HHR for another employee. It is the panel kind. We all hate it because of the decreased sight in the rear because there are no rear windows. I also like having rear seating. I have been using the seating in the XB to secure some of the items I transport. I couldn't do that with the HHR Panel. Any suggestions for cars would be great. I don't want to get stuck driving a car I cannot see out the back of.

A: the all-new 2008 xB is bigger. The wheelbase has increased by four inches, the overall length is a foot longer. too bad the base price went up also. new is a huge power upgrade a 158-horsepower 2.4-liter dual overhead cam four-cylinder engine with Variable Valve Timing—the same engine found in the tC coupe. The engine delivers 162 lb-ft of torque at 4000 rpm and it can be mated to a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic with sequential shifting. Another upgrade over the previous generation, the xB now rides on 16-inch steel wheels with larger brakes for more stopping power. The interior offers a number of storage units, a driver’s right armrest has been added and the audio system has been upgraded to include standard rear head unit outputs to allow external amps to boost power to the front and rear speakers and subwoofers.Safety gets a big upgrade with the addition of side-mounted airbags for front-seat passengers and curtain airbags for front and rear seats for the first time. The xB costs $15,650 with a manual transmission and $16,600 with an automatic. It has a good amount of standard equipment, which includes air conditioning, cruise control, tilt wheel with audio controls and power windows, mirrors and door locks with remote keyless entry. the longer wheelbase as well bigger tires should cut down on the bouncing Wish the Auto transmission had 5 gears and not 4. and the visibility needs improving. wish it had an 120 volt outlet for a laptop. better choices Honda CR-V EX24,785 Mazda3s Grand Touring22,815 Mazda5 Touring21,245 low cost top performers 1.
