Q: How do you replace the driver door body trim moulding for a 1998 Honda Odyssey?
I want to be able to replace it myself without paying millions of dollars to the dealer body shop. Thanks!
A: hmm u need a heat gun then just slap the other back on..
Q: Can someone inform me how to replace the timing belt on a 1998 Honda Odyssey?. Thank-you?
A: Sorry, I can't. But your question reminds me of the old joke about making elephant stew:
"First, you catch and kill one medium size elephant."
But back to your problem. It's probably easier than it looks but in my experience :"nothing is easier than it looks".
Your biggest problem, I think, will be getting the timing set correctly after you physically install the belt.
Good luck.
Q: is a 1998 honda odyssey a 3 row seater or 2?
A: 3
Q: Who sells the best Halo Angel Eye headlight system for a 1998 Honda Odyssey?
A: I would go with TYC. But I'm not sure they even make those for your car. You might want to go with HIDs.
Q: which is better on gas? a 1998 honda odyssey or a 2002 dodge caravan?
A: the odyssey is better ,dodge very seldom ever wins anything on gas mileage, but in this case the odyssey beat it out ,the caravan on a good day will average about 19-21 miles per gallon ,the odyssey will beat that on a bad day, good luck.
Q: What is causing my dash warning lights to all come on?
1998 Honda Odyssey Van with 124,000 miles. Also the radio stops playing from time to time for a couple of seconds each time. Its seems like the electrical is having short lapses throughout the van.
A: Could be fuses, brain box, or a loose wire. You can try a local mechanic to eyeball it for loose wiring, and clean your connections, and check your fuses without putting out much money--or maybe a friend whose good with cars. Check the web for sites listing design defects (which I'd doubt at this age), or warranties about to expire, or recall notice lists, which are not always posted by the news services. That you can do for free.
If you eliminate this, you may have to dig deep and get a well outfitted garage or a dealer shop to run a diagnostic.
(Around here it's an automatic 50, right off the top), and any brain box glitches or replacement parts start from there, That's a last resort. Last time I had a brain box error I got skinned alive.
Q: Why won't the key turn in my 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan?
I have a 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan. When I tried to start it last night the key would not turn in the ignition. I made sure it is in Park. I turned the steering wheel from side to side (until it locked) but to no avail.
Any ideas? Other than buying a Honda Odyssey next time?
The problem is not with the key. I tried 4 different keys all of which worked fine until yesterday.
I moved the steering wheel from side to side until it locked into place. That did not help.
I also made sure it was in Park.
A: The key cylinder is jammed. I see it a lot If you take it to a shop they will most likely tell you to buy a new ignition cylinder. But most of the time they can just be taken apart and cleaned. I would not buy a Japanese car they have the same problems but look better on paper because they try everything to blame the owner to get out of doing a warranty repair.
Q: Buying a new car. Whats best?
I need to buy a new car. My previous car was a 1998 honda odyssey. My husband drives a 2007 Lexus ES sedan. I don't really care if it's luxury or not. I'm interested in either a SUV or a Sedan. Price does not matter.
A: Go with Honda or Toyota. Toyota Camry is decently priced and is "the best-selling car in America" for a reason. Good cars.
