Q: How do we use the DVD Player on my 2006 Honda Odyssey?
Can someone please help us on how we can use the DVD Player on the 2006 Honda Odyssey? When we purchased the vehicle, the dealer did not go through the features with us. I know it seems easy, but we have tried every everything to play a DVD but the screen would not come turn on, so if you know the procedure please send us the steps on how to use the DVD Player. When I put an address in and it gives me the miles and time to destination, it does not continue to countdown the miles and time. It's like it's stuck. Sometimes it gets hung up and doesn't respond to any of the buttons I push. The only way to reset it is to shut the vehicle off/on.
A: Definitely take it to the dealer that you bought it from before the warranty runs out, Navigation systems are very very costly in vehicles, sometimes more than $2000.. make sure also that when you take the van in to the dealer for service it is very clean, because they will look for everything to deny a warranty because they do not make as much money as when the public pays. Make sure there are no liquid spills on or near the area of any electronic item in the vehicle.

A: most honda dealers sell their new cars at invoice cost. You don't have to do much haggling at a Honda dealership, but if you check the invoice price for a new car, you should be that cost.

I just went to a dealership and they're trying to get rid of their 2006 Honda Odyssesys. There's one 2006 Touring left and he offered $34,000 for it. That was the first dealership I went to so I have no idea for comparison.

A: Check out places like Kelly Blue Book or Edmunds to see what they're going for.
I checked Edmunds used car value appraiser and saw that a touring model goes for $29k base. That number goes up if it has the goodies (navigation, DVD entertainment, etc) and because it's been never driven off the lot, at least $33,000.
So $34,000 is pretty close to reasonable.
Q: Where is the auxiliary input on a Honda Odyssey 2006?
You know, to play an i-Pod on, or any MP3 player. The reason I want to know is because I don't want to buy a 50$ FM transmitter.
Howie, not necessarily. My brother's Mercedes has the input in the glove box.
A: The auxiliary input jack is in the glove box, but you have to have the adapter to be able listen to your ipod (buy it/ have it installed from Honda). It's too bad, I just got an '07 Odyssey and I just found out that all 2008 models come standard with it....oh well. Good luck.

A: 2nd answer was close. You need to hold down your trip button then while keeping it held down put the key into the ignition and turn it forward to the on position (not starting it). Then keep the trip button held down until it says reset.
