A: No, definitely not. However, you can still get one at a nice price, especially if you look for ads. I don't know where you're from, but Ourisman Honda in Bethesda, Maryland sent me an email ad (I'm subscribed) for 2008 Pilots $6000 off, 2009 Pilots $2009 off, Ridgelines $8000 off. That included free lifetime oil-changes for the vehicle and 15% off scheduled maintainence, as long as all maintainence was performed at their dealership. These offers ended today on 7/13, but your local dealers should have similar opportunities. Call them up and ask if they have any offers, see if you can subscribe to a mailing list for their periodic sales ads. I am not an employee or related in any way to Honda.

A: No official release date on their website; suggest you call Honda of Canada toll free 1-888-9-HONDA-9 they may be able to give you an estimate. the 2009 model just came out in the US this month hope that helps

Q: Is a 2009 Honda Pilot better than a 2009 Toyota Highlander?


A: Yes. Both are very reliable, but Honda a bit more. Not noticeable. New Pilot has a more boxy design, which means more space inside. More trunk space, more compartments, more room to be comfortable. It also has the weaker, more fuel efficient engine so the Toyota is a little faster. Again not noticeable. Gas mileages are still similar, but Honda better.

A: Depending what area you live in for when you will see them. We have some that should be here near the end of May. I don't know the prices yet. They did get rid of the SE and added the Touring. It also looks like they added the VCM to all the trims.

A: the 2008 Pilot is bulletproof. Its one of the most reliable Honda's ever made and that's saying a lot. the 2009 is bigger inside and out. Poor decision by Honda that was made before the current concerns for fuel economy and tanking SUV sales. the plus of the 2009 is that you can get a great deal on one as they aren't selling well. Amortize the savings over the time you expect to own the vehicle and it will probably offset the additional cost of fuel. I like the styling and size of the 2008 better than the 2009. I think the 2009 looks too much like an anonymous Chevy or Nissan SUV. The 2008 looks more like a Honda. hope that helps

which car is better and why? my mom is trading her 2006 Isuzu Ascender 7 passenger for one of these two vehicles so i can take it to school because she is tired already to taking me to school and picking me up!

A: The Murano is about as ugly and basic as it gets. It's hardly a contender against the Pilot. We're talking about a true truck SUV and a compact SUV built on a car chassis. The Pilot drives beautifully, is well-equipped at the EX-L and Touring levels (à la Acura), and has crash test ratings that are enviable by many sedans.

Q: how much will the 2008 honda pilot EXL decrease in price when the 2009 pilots come out and when will it drop?


A: Well, the 2009 Pilot is totally redesigned, so the '08 will be an "old" body style. I'd say you can knock off at least 4-5 grand, but probably more because they want to get rid of the '08's. You might also be able to get really low financing too! Good luck.

I heard its coming out in the spring. i also heard that it will have a diesel engine. Hope this is true. What do you guys know about it?

A: January 2008 is when Honda will reveal the new Pilot at the Detroit Auto Show. I think it will be out on sale late in spring, around May. There are rumors that there will be a 3.5 liter V-6 diesel, but no official word yet. So, we'll just have to wait and see!

I am about to purchase a 2009 EX-L Touring. I am just wanting some thoughts on this vehicle. and if its a good choice.I don't know much about vehicles and my family are suggesting this one.Thanks

A: Good gas economy for a vehicle of its size and classification as well as reliability and creature comforts inside. Bad warranty for such a good vehicle and the new styling leaves a little to be desired in my opinion. Overall a good choice for that market segment.

A: It looks like the love child of a new Jeep Liberty and a Honda Element. I'll need to see one on the road to form a solid opinion though. The Honda dealer I bought my car from sent me a really low price quote on the current one, but I might be tempted to see what the new one has to offer.

A: I bought a new fully loaded Honda Odessy a month ago and they practically gave me the car. I got double the amount on my trade in and very low monthly payments. I can't believe the deal I got. I am very happy with the van, it gets great gas mileage. This is a great time to buy because of the recession. You can haggled them down to hardly nothing, plus they have their own financing available.
